2m Repeater
The 2 meter FM repeater is 146.970Mhz, – offset
PL 123.0 Hz (Main Site) | PL 127.3 Hz (Dover Rx)
This repeater hosts an Echolink Node: W3HZU-R 9211
Access to the Echolink node is via incoming connections only. There are no DTMF commands available for outgoing connections.
There is only one transmitter for this repeater which is at the main site.
The repeater listens on two different CTCSS tones. The main site listens on 146.37Mhz with a PL tone of 123.0Hz. If a signal comes in with this tone, which will activate the transmitter ending with a single courtesy tone.
There is a remote receive site on Conewago mountain in Dover that listens on 146.37Mhz with a PL tone of 127.3Hz. If a signal comes in with this tone, the remote receive site relays the signal via a 1.25cm band link to the main site, which will activate the transmitter ending with a double courtesy tone.
If the clubhouse is occupied, the repeater will provide a morse code “C” as a courtesy tone – • – •
If the emergency backup generator is running at the clubhouse, the repeater will provide a morse code “G” courtesy tone – – •
The remote receive site is 100 feet higher in elevation than the main site, and it is in a relatively quiet RF area. So in most cases the remote receive site hears better than the main site. Most users will keep two adjacent memory channels with both PL tones so they can be selected easily for best reception. Coverage for 146.97 can be seen on this path prediction image.
